Dr. Musliu Adetola Tolani holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Ahmadu Bello University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Liverpool. He is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria. He works as a lecturer in Ahmadu Bello University and as an honorary consultant with the affiliated teaching hospital. He has won several academic awards including the commonwealth scholarship. He has a flair for writing. His research interests are in the area of urology, oncology, global surgery, health services and medical education.

Comment on Global Surgery

My involvement in global surgery is driven by the passion to generate evidence that will promote positive change implementation and reduce the disparity in health outcomes in Low Middle-Income Countries. Indeed, the collaboration and networking that global surgery provides is important in closing this gap.
