Dr. Taiwo A. Lawal, MBBS, MSc (Epid & Med Stat), FWACS, FACS, FICS is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Surgery of the University of Ibadan. He graduated from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He also has a Doctorate in Medicine from the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover and is a Fellow of both the West African College of Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He is also an Honorary Consultant Paediatric Surgeon to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. His passion is in epidemiology and surgical care of birth defects and medical education. He served as the Sub-Dean (Undergraduate) MBBS in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences between 2014 and 2018 and is currently the Sub-Dean (Postgraduate) in the Faculty. He is a reviewer to several regional and international journals.
