Dr Abiodun Idowu OKUNLOLA MBChB, MSc (Anatomy), FWACS(Neurosurgery) is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Head of Neurosurgery Unit, Department of Surgery, Federal Teaching Hospital Ido Ekiti and Senior Lecturer in Department of Surgery, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria. He graduated with MBChB from the College of Health Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, and obtained MSc in Anatomy from the same institution. He had his postgraduate professional training at Memfys Hospital for Neurosurgery Enugu, Department of Surgery and the Department of Neurological Surgery, University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He was a WFNS fellow at P D Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre Mumbai India under Prof BK Misra, WFNS Vice President. He is the current Ag Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria.

Research Interests: Awake craniotomy, geriatric neurosurgery, Surgical site infection, degenerative spine disease, neurotrauma, skull base surgery etc. epidemiology of neurotrauma, CNS malformation, neuro-oncology, awake craniotomy etc.
